Ponds

Thanks so much....great idea!   My house is in front of the old beautiful lake and fountain, which is now a neglected swamp.  I heard at the last board meeting that it would cost between "$200,000. and $300,000. to redo and would have to have the okay by the Indian who owns the property."  I also heard the word "toxic" if we took out the railroad ties that surround the pond.
I took it upon myself to call the Dept. of Public Health who have come out to the property and want it to be changed from what it is now to something else.  Neglect like this and paying a much higher HOA dues does not make me a happy camper!

"In addition I found a picture of a beautiful pond surrounded by boulders and the railroad ties would not have to be taken out.  I forwarded the picture to the Canyon Estates Office.  I am doing this as I feel so strongly that the Canyon Estates has been a very special part in the history of Palm Springs.  It really bothers me to see the "signature" of the development turn into a swamp and left in a very neglected manner.
My condo is in escrow.  I am just doing this just because I CARE! "
